Re: Japoné語 - A Pastichelang Scratchpad
[xD] There is something intensely jarring and that messes with my thought train while attempting to read it - it's as if my eyes refuse to cooperate and I wind up with a horrid sensation like when you look at that upside down face picture. It's so alien, because I can read Latin text perfectly fine ...

I feel like this is many of us here, but tough luck for me in ever actually managing to match any of them to that, they're always ten steps in a completely different direction!druneragarsh wrote:My artlangs are "perfect" when they match my visions for them.

I like that method, although how do you make it not be so tedious to do? Do you have a brush that you made to paint these mountains on? For my own paper worldbuilding once I get to the stage where I'm doing elevation I'll mark out mountains by just using peak symbols of varying sizes to represent th...

Has Micamo never shown you the wonders of Tlingit? Also I'm pretty sure Ubykh, with the largest consonant inventory without clicks, is polysynthetic.

I always look forward to new posts in this thread, all the stuff you do here is so cool and I can never do as much conlanging in as short amount of time as you can. Are you planning on having any V-initial languages in Yantas?

Are there populations on any other bodies? Is there a "planet X" out there which explains the odd orbit of things like Sedna and such or is it just coincidence? How far has humanity reached? What is Earth like?

Re: Avalang da dum
This seems to me a very odd and interesting language, especially since its main word order is OVS. Any ideas why this is so? Most of all I like that you're approaching it without doing the phonetics first, since 99.9% of langs just die after a small post on phonology it seems. why don't you come on ...

A less pretty post, but also something that's been bugging me for a long time is that there are no morphophonological rules set in stone, but I change and mix around the phonemes in the verbs when translating into Himalian. Here is a preliminary set of morfofo rules: The vowel ë is inserted in a clu...

Finally getting around to hammering out Apaan's noun classes. just not sure whether mosquitos would be Class Three (prickly things, alongside hedgehogs), or Class Four (unseen things, alongside stonefish) Neat! Personally I'd put them in class 3, but depending on how many classes there are, 4 could...
