Re: Any unusual or humorous sources of words in your conlang(s)?

Źilaa Ruńu has patig which means 'worm' and is a reference to Wormtail (Petigrew) from Harry Potter, and zeerde which means 'crow' because years ago my brother said the sound they make is "zerd". There are probably more words of this kind that I forgot about.

Re: Lexember 2019

I like this tradition a lot! I want to make Ak'aleniw words this time, but it might be easier to stick with familiar Źilaa Ruńu, since this is going to be my busiest December ever. I guess I can always mix the two.

Re: Miscellaneous fun facts about your conlang to share and know

Pekaw (placeholder name) has prenasalized stops, which I haven't seen in too many conlangs (although I don't peruse other people's phonemic inventories often, beyond this site. Źilaa Ruńu also has them :) Ak'aleniw is spoken in a fantasy world by a group of people who are able to travel through a s...

Re: (Conlangs) Q&A Thread - Quick questions go here

@sangi39: Thanks!
Personally, thinking harder because people see what I make might actually hinder me from deciding anything at all! That's one reason I have posted very little about my main conlang, although I have more stuff in my notes. It can work better for a side project, I hope.

Re: (Conlangs) Q&A Thread - Quick questions go here

I have a couple of early conlang sketches and I'm wondering if posting them would be a good idea.
So, people who have posted here about conlangs in very early stages of development - did it help you develop them? And would a lack of feedback discourage you?
