What could allow my world’s take on the Kaiju Gamera to sense heat while in his “rotating shell” flight mode?
Ok, so the title isn’t the most self-explanatory thing this time. Let me explain. In my world, which is mostly a fanfic world of Godzilla and Ultraman but has other franchises also mixed in, Gamera is a thing. Normally at this point, Gamera’s portrayed as a giant, bipedal, flying tortoise/turtle kai...

What could allow dogs of this fictional breed to not have mobility issues (given they weigh more than any rl dog breed)?
Let’s cut to the chase. In my Godzilla/Ultraman fanfic world, male Voswuinian Mastiffs are a dog breed, bred originally by Voswuinians from the planet Lyrial (long story, but just know that Voswuinian Mastiffs are, in fact, actual dogs), which can weigh anywhere from 400 to 520 pounds and stand at u...

Any tips for creating an extraterrestrial ecosystem via randomized combinations of animals?
The title’s pretty self-explanatory, but I’ve come up with a process inspired by Cas3yart’s many “Random Aliens” on YouTube Shorts and plan to make a small number of extraterrestrial genera for it. Cas3yart’s process is that he basically takes 3 books, opens each one up to a random page, and then dr...

Re: (L&N) Q&A Thread - Quick questions go here
To the first one, I will admit that it’d be a bit… interesting with the table setup I have currently, but it is possible to make the table set up clearer as to what meanings the Zareian words are used to convey, and thus allow for both ‘had’ and ‘sani’ to mean ‘be’. I don’t really know how to do so...

Anyway, my initial question still stands: has Zareian been elevated to the status of a true conlang?

What are the differences between sani and had ? Also, by the A in "ask", do you mean /a/, the vowel in the song "Alouette", halfway in between the A in "cat" and the A in "party"? There is no difference between sani and had . Thank you very much for pointing ...

Re: (L&N) Q&A Thread - Quick questions go here
Have I elevated Zareian (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1jgS ... VO4E0/edit), a language from my Ultraman/Godzilla Fanfiction world, past being just a relex, or is it still not a true conlang?

Re: How could I explain most of the abilities of the Dehanatis Double Sword semi-scientifically?
Anyway, ignoring the debate of whether or not a double-bladed sword is an effective form of melee weapon, I do still want help with this. That said, I have put some more thought into this since last night: instead of focusing on most of the abilities, we will only be focusing on certain abilities, p...

Re: Does my take on Godzilla break the Law of the Conservation of Energy?
Just want to put in some input, so please don’t take this the wrong way. Anyway, why is everyone saying, in varying ways, that “Godzilla’s a fantasy series”? As a fan of the Godzilla franchise, I can say with confidence that, throughout the majority of the series’s history, it’s been more science fi...

Re: How could I explain most of the abilities of the Dehanatis Double Sword semi-scientifically?
It's not even physically realistic as a sword, because swords don't have two blades, because that would be a stupid idea with no actual benefits and lots of disadvantages. It's not a coincidence that the whole of human history across the planet has invented hundreds or thousands of types of sword, ...

How could I explain most of the abilities of the Dehanatis Double Sword semi-scientifically?
The Dehanatis Double Sword is a dual-bladed sword used by Dehanatis, a villain character from my Ultraman/Godzilla fanfics. Now, when I say “semi-scientifically”, I have a feeling there’s no explaining some of this thing’s abilities unless we go way, way out there as far as what’s considered “scient...

Re: Does my take on Godzilla break the Law of the Conservation of Energy?
I always interpreted Godzilla's breath as some kind of directed energy weapon and not some explosion emanated out of a mouth or dragonbreath. When you consider some dragons in fiction breathe stuff other than just fire, dragon’s breath isn’t necessarily a poor analog for the Atomic Breath, but yes,...

Re: Does my take on Godzilla break the Law of the Conservation of Energy?
However, this is all irrelevant, since 10 megatons per breath is just a silly number, and there's no point trying to connect it to real mathematics. For context, 10 megatons is the equivalent of about 60 Hiroshima bombs. Everyone and everything within 20 miles or so of it when it breathed would be ...

Does my take on Godzilla break the Law of the Conservation of Energy?
I know he breaks square cube law, that’s fairly standard for Godzilla, but does he break Conservation of Energy? For context, my take on Godzilla is able to take 8.41421 metric tons of radioactive materials and use it as nuclear fuel, which he is able to use to both generate energy attacks, such as ...

Re: Is my idea for the number of individuals in Destoroyah accurate?
Ok, so seeing as literally no-one’s responded in almost 12 hours, I figured I’d make a change to make it easier to calculate, for myself or others: the subquantum prawns now have a mass of 5*10^-438 quectograms, which is a far cry from the much smaller 5*10^-4375 quectograms and might actually be ca...

Is my idea for the number of individuals in Destoroyah accurate?
In my Godzilla/Ultraman fanfic world’s fan series Ultraman M/L/V, the iteration of Destoroyah included differs vastly from the one included in Godzilla vs Destoroyah from 1995. However, one retained feature is that Destoroyah is not one organism, but rather a colony of countless microscopic crustace...

Re: How believable is the evolution of sapient intelligence in Godzillasaurus maximus?
So to try and answer your OP, I'd say it depends. Is this a speculative biology project or more of a general worldbuilding project? Your critters already flout both the square-cube law and the law of conservation of energy (you describe them as being able to create energy with no external source, a...

Re: How believable is the evolution of sapient intelligence in Godzillasaurus maximus?
I'd suggest Titan o fauna. Like "Titanoboa". That’s a fair suggestion, though seeing as I already have a very, very large number of docs using the “titanfauna” spelling, it will take quite some time for me to get used to. I’ll try it, though. ctrl+h Yeah, I already changed it out. I thoug...
