Makurungou world's infrastructure is about pre-1500CE technology, horses and running for travel, Validonians have a primitive engine that they use for transportation however it's prone to explosions, breakdowns, and is very cumbersome for personal use.

Re: Your vote for most beautiful natlang writing system.
Arabic and Chinese/Japanese calligraphy is simply amazing in beauty. For Arabic it simply looks very elegant in the way you string the graphemes together. As for Chinese the calligraphy is considered a form of art in China and Japan, Is art usually not supposed to be pleasing to a person? I've never...

Re: Q&A Thread - Quick questions go here
So I gave up on my last conlang, (It was a failure.) Going to restart with the whole language, What would be a good phonology for a language with origins Central Asia? Would it have ejective consonants? Would it be relatively "rough" sounding? (Lots of guttural and many consonant clusters,...

Also, how does he communicate with his friends and family back in his home country if he has such a profound psychological reaction to hearing their language? That one could be easily solved, 1. Neutral language 2. The Mutually-Intelligible Slovak. (To a point.) 3. Any other shared language. EDIT: ...

Among all IE languages, I like most the Iranian branch. The number of /a/'s (PIE /e/ and /o/ become /a/ in Iranian) makes them sound great. Older Germanic languages like Gothic and Old Norse are also interesting. Modern Swedish and Norwegian have nice pronuniciation, but I wish they had preserved m...

The interesting thing about the Celtic branch is the initial consonant mutations, I was trying to create a system like that for one of my conlangs.
I've always found the Germanic branch the most interesting. After that, Indo-Aryan.
