Re: What did you accomplish today?
I made a small poem in Sajem Tan today. /ʒu xænønfɛ ɮo. duʒeku tænfɛ. duku snæmdɑsun. ɮokɑm xænønfɛ. ɮo mændɑ det͡s ʒu. kæsynɛt sin du./ I'm unsure of the gloss, but here is a rough translation: They greet you. What will you talk about? What will be given? You greet with them. You thanked them. May ...

Re: Getting rid of the sg/pl distinction in personal pronouns
A conlang I'm currently developing, Simpel, has no distinction between singular and plural in any of its parts of speech, which means that pronouns don't have one either. This seems a big limitation to me, but I really want to go for it. Lojban does this for all of its nouns and pronouns. Plurals a...

Re: Atlas: new auxlang
You have as well a video in order to see how Atlas sounds: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7QNAX0hPgdg&feature=em-upload_owner It sounds vaguely German, which I wouldn't have expected. If you are serious about promoting your language, then you'll need to network with the posters on the Auxiliar...

Re: Atlas: new auxlang
Hold up. Are you seriously suggesting that linguae francae are chosen ? Who has the power to bestow lingua franca status unto a language? Is there a secret cabal or something? I believe they tend to be known as the "ruling class" : those people with all the money and power. The appeal of ...

Re: Atlas: new auxlang
- Vocabulary formed with only above 500 roots, from which all other words are formed. No, this will never work. It is far too few! Make it closer to five thousand and you might have a good base for the language. Either that, or you'll need to make an exhaustive system for how compounds/agglutinatio...

Re: uREd - Unified Reform of Esperanto Dialects
I have to agree with Serena, many of the auxlangs I have tried learning don't look natural to me. Many of them also have lots of regional influences from where they are made, like the original Esperanto which looks and sounds very Slavic to my ears, being a secondary speaker of Russian. People are ...
