I may point out that while she thinks of deep green as being named blue, she still can distinguish between the colour of the sea and the colour of her lawn: It's a learned definition rather than activley thinking of them as the same colour, much as you or I can distinguish between two shades of blu...

Not a complete one, however, Iriex was first spoken by a species with monochromatic vision; they distinguish between shades of grey rather than colours. I'm not quite sure how this is going to work for the di- or trichromatically visioned species who have adopted the language. I'm thinking they may...
