Was this intended for the other thread? I don't see the connexion between matters of philosophical language design and invented culture...

Well, I can't really say I've ever been to a fun funeral. Some have been a true relief --- after long and gruelling illness & debility. Yeah, that kind of funeral is true respite from woe. Peaceful and uplifting, but not fun. Some have been stupidly tragic --- while it's true that the moment of the death of the body is but stepping through a gate between here and there, that doesn't mean everyone who steps the gate made a particularly wise decision to tread that road. Anyone going on about "celebrating the life" of an unwise youngster is pulling Queen Mary's leg. Tragic, but not fun. Some have been heartcleaving --- the death of one's little one. Enough said, not fun.

Perhaps, to bring this more on topic for the forum, maybe we can discuss attitudes of folks in our otherworlds towards death, dying, crossing over the Bridge of Shinvatho and what are those left behind to do.

Okay, so....

What exactly is the point of the pink intro-card,
besides reminding me once again (as if it needs reminding)
that my mother passed away approx. 4 months ago
:?:
[}:(] :mrred:

Of course, the Threadmaker didn't know this, which, after all, is the essence of ignorance, innit?

I suspect lsd has never been to a funeral.
I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing.
