What can I say? It doesn't fit above, put it here. Also the location of board rules/info.

Okay, when are you going to stop spamming this. This is supposed to be a relatively family-friendly casual forum, not some pseudo-postmodernist dumping ground.

Qwed: always bringing the sanity to this forum. Most of this thread is very skippable, and to be honest lsd, I don't even know what you're talking about half the time.

Edit: I assure you that it is not a matter of ads and that I am not a spambot ...
What I post here is just a bunch of pics found on the web that inspire me with my conlanger glasses ...
They are posted separately in a dedicated thread, as in a pseudo-museum, it is very subjective, and everyone can find here some inspiration, or not and pass without seeing it of interest ...
or post his findings ...

Ngnga. Pretty sure it's triangles. Well, there's a wee rectangle in the middle. But all the rest is triangles!

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! ALL THE WORLD IS GOING TRIANGULAR!!!

It is a good illustration of what is involved in constructing a universal philosophical language ...
The are-you-sure principle...
And its solution: everything is triangular!

FWIW, I personally find this thread mostly quite bizarre and can't see it serving any comprehensible purpose. Then again, most normal people would probably have that reaction to this entire board. [¬.¬] As long as it's just one thread accumulating perhaps a few posts per day, I don't see it worth causing much conflict over. As always, my suggestion is to simply not visit threads you know you're not interested in.

I'm more or less with Xonen on this one. Dormouse559 and I had a brief discussion about it around 2 weeks ago and we were pretty much okay letting this thread continue, and I think Xonen's right that as long as it's just here and people know that that's where they should avoid going, and it's not constant posting, it's not that bad.

An interesting, and kind of sad, act of bowlderisation that.

By removing the picture of the woman with all these names written on her body, and replacing it with a spread of just the names, you have removed every reason for even posting this picture of the day to the thread.

When I saw the original image, my first thought, really, was, "well, those words printed on her body don't actually identify the girl at all; they identify only peripheral accouterments". However, I got immediately what £sd was saying --- it's about people buying into brand-obsession, materialism and associating themselves with brands outside of themselves, taking on the names of external organisations, ideologies and mindsets that may or not actually jive with one's own, but that may eventually override and replace one's own. Even if only in the eyes of un-thinking and un-critical others."

Sadly, the current image evokes no thought and strikes no controversy. It is meaningless in context. You'd do better to just delete the day's entry entirely.

I might suggest in future, rather than feel like you have to bowlderise a post just because this is a "family friendly" forum, just put the picture in a NSFW spoiler and let the images speak for themselves. Heck, if I have to that for rotten teeth, you can certainly do the same for the image in question!

The image always seems superior to the written ...

How is photo-editing so damn good nowadays? With really good ones you have nothing to tell you that it's fake save for outside context (like with this one).
