Yes, there are articles in people's names too. Generally the order of the sentences are SOV, but they can also be SVO. It's rare, though, and depends on the context. Also, the Ablative has it's own case to which the noun is declined, rather than using prepositions (Armenian doesn't really have any prepositions). Those semicolons are periods [:P]

:tan: Swahili:

I will simply gloss the stem -fungu- here as "open" but it should be noted that this derives from -fung- "close" plus -u-, a suffix which often reverses the meaning.

The normal form of the passive is just -w-, but verb stems ending in u or (in standard Swahili but not most dialects) a take -liw- and those ending in o take -lew-.

:jpn: Japanese

Japanese has many transitive/intransitive verb pairs, where the verbs look similar and have essentially the same meaning, except that one is transitive and one is intransitive. This is a case where that comes into play. The verbs used here are 開ける akeru for "to open" in the transitive sense and 開く aku for "to open" in the intransitive sense.

ピーターがドアを開けた。
Pītā ga doa o aketa.

Peter opened the door.

Peter made John open the door.

ピーターが開けた。
Pītā ga aketa.

Peter opened (it).

"Peter opened", with "opened" being transitive, feels ungrammatical to me in English. It feels like there needs to be an object: "Peter opened it."

Classical Anesa doesn't really make any use of passive voice marking, instead preferring reflexives, indefinite pronouns, and syntax tricks. It's worth noting that "the door," when an object, is better translated as indefinite; pro-drop always happens when an object is mentioned in a preceding sentence.
