Rozwi folk, and most folk on Tirga, still have a pretty strong understanding of snow as Snow (Ded Mroz, Father Frost, etc), and gets treated in a personified way, even in run of the mill phrases like this.

ʔelau kolfek dmitiθ flemūdū čolim ʔeyagu.
Snow-NOM.SG cover-PRS.3SG land<COLL>ACC cape-INST great 3SG.ANIM.M.GEN
Snow covers the land with his great cape.

You would even hear it expressed this way by a Rozwi meteorologist on the 10:45 pm news.

(In)famous Rozwi meteorologist Yuyan Bolaʔis: is that a forecast in your pocket, or are you just happy to precipitate?

It's a pity that in addition to his rising hot front, Yuyan also appears to be having a stroke.

It never snows in this conpeople's land, so they do not have a root for 'snow'.
'jelatín hideyén' means 'water ice cream'.
'jelatín' means 'ice cream'. 'jela' means cold and '-tin' is diminutive.

I don't remember the habit of saying "there is snow on the land". You say "There is snow [time reference]", like "There is snow now" (ванакн sан хат фрєо). If you really want, you may say љурі вах sан sєн љан [li˞ˈɾi‿wä sän sɛn ʎ͡ʑan] (there is snow on soil).

[qam ˈtsomʃi ˈnʁantuʒa tʃuˈbiʃ tʃuˈkʰret]
many snow <NONF>blanket-be_like land 3S.L.TOP-thing-be_on

Qam takes the partitive, but mass nouns like tsomshi can only appear in the partitive anyway. Mass nouns also can't take verbalizers -- *chuchpshet isn't valid, so you have to say chubish chukhret.

Many snowflakes have fallen onto the land.

Note that the use of denvia (to fall) is not ambiguous here; if the snow would have gone away again, you would rather use triypa (to touch briefly).
