Re: Guess the Word in Germanic Conlangs
To help alleviate any stagnation, I would encourage you not to search the PG lemmas on wiktionary for a cognate to <meletana> but rather, look to the Gothic lemmas.
Re: Guess the Word in Germanic Conlangs
Is it related to "militōn"?

Re: Guess the Word in Germanic Conlangs
Maybe militōn? If so <gameletanadruhtes> could mean army or (as ga- marks the perfective) those that were once in the army?
Edit: Damnit, shimo!

If by enscripted, you mean conscripted then yes!qwed117 wrote:The enscripted army?
Conscript Unit or Drafted Unit would be my translation. Your turn.
Re: Guess the Word in Germanic Conlangs
That is indeed what I meant. I guess I was mixing enlisted with conscripted.spanick wrote:If by enscripted, you mean conscripted then yes!qwed117 wrote:The enscripted army?

Give me a good day to develop a Germanic language for this.
