My Work-In-Progress Plate Tectonics
Okay, so I have an incomplete map of plate tectonics going, and I wanted to get some feedback on what I've got so far, and maybe some hints as to what other plates should be like. I've taken the liberty of removing the continents, so as to emphasize the plates and their interactions with one another. Here it is:
Questions, criticism, comments, all welcome.

Re: My Work-In-Progress Plate Tectonics
I have given up on plate tectonics in the World of Twin Suns. It’s just too difficult for me. So my comment is: kudos for working on it.
I couldn’t see any obvious problems with your map.

Re: My Work-In-Progress Plate Tectonics
My only comment is as follows:
We barely know about our tectonics. Wikipedia records roughly 75 plates. Most people only record around 15. That's it.

This is nowhere near as hopeless as gestaltist and qwed are making it seem. We do actually know quite a bit about tectonics, it, just like quite a bit of more advanced linguistic knowledge, is locked up away from the regular internet in academia. However, a surprising amount can be found out about plate tectonics just by looking for it. It would be helpful if you added movement arrows to the plates, but from looking at what you have of your map so far the only real tectonic problem it has is that plate C cannot have all of those divergent boundaries surrounding it unless its movement is slower than all the other plates around it. If you have any questions while making this, feel free to ask me btw!

Thanks for pointing that out. I guess I should explain something.Darvince wrote:This is nowhere near as hopeless as gestaltist and qwed are making it seem. To simplify majorly, I already have a general plan as to how the plates move. This plan, however, uses Plate C as a reference point for the movements of the other plates, and it presumes that Plate C moves little, if at all, from its original position. So yes, I can safely say Plate C is moving slower than all the other plates around it.
EDIT: (EDIT 2: Moved to another post.)

Re: My Work-In-Progress Plate Tectonics
So, in the time since I last posted, I've defined some more of the boundaries. Now I only have a few left to go, but I wanted some opinions on my newest set of boundaries and whether they work or not.
So, here they are:
Tell me what you all think. Any problems that stick out? (And haven't already been addressed?

Re: My Work-In-Progress Plate Tectonics
not bad, it looks reasonable to me :)
I prefer to not be referred to with masculine pronouns and nouns such as “he/him/his”.
Re: My Work-In-Progress Plate Tectonics
The only problem I see is that Plate C doesn't move much, and is surrounded by divergent boundaries. Maybe it's just has a large amount of continental crust. But it feels awkward to me.MysteryMan23 wrote:So, in the time since I last posted, I've defined some more of the boundaries. probably the Plate C is just like Philippine Sea Plate: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philippine_Sea_Plateqwed117 wrote:The only problem I see is that Plate C doesn't move much, and is surrounded by divergent boundaries. But Phillipine Plate is convergent, so the land is not just pooling there. Maybe it's just me. If the other plate is convergig on the opposite side(s), then, I guess it'll just expand.k1234567890y wrote:Probably the Plate C is just like Philippine Sea Plate: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philippine_Sea_Plateqwed117 wrote:The only problem I see is that Plate C doesn't move much, and is surrounded by divergent boundaries. Okay, it's been a while! Time to show my completed map!
So, what do you all think?

They seem logical.
Did you have much trouble getting the polar caps to move in a manner that didn't mess with your head? I had to keep switching back to a three dimensional projection to make sure I was getting it right: nightmare.
